waking up in the middle of the night can be a terrible nuisance — on most nights. this view, at 02h34 (chosen to be indicative) brings a few layers of life to single image. in that sense, it may fit the kertészian-haiku idea. a collision of a simple item, and the vagueness desired in a haiku. a city light, ever so dim, coming through an old single-pane glass window. waking to notice the layers of this (potential) photograph can be disturbing at times: why can't I sleep walk in a groggy state like everyone else? no, instead I fetch the camera... since it was too dim for the phone's camera.
